Ai Weiwei's Tate Modern Installation

Ai Weiwei, as you may have heard, has been detained in China; he's been missing for nearly a month now. I never posted these photos from a day seeing his "Sunflower Seeds" exhibition in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern but was reminded of them when reading about him earlier today. On this day, I only had one lens with me: my 100mm f/2.8. Unfortunately that precluded taking a nice wide shot of the Turbine Hall. But up close the sunflower seeds looked like this:There were, seriously, 100 million seeds in this piece, all handmade in porcelain. Very worth reading about. In unrelated news, after a trip through the museum, we took a break at the cafe, where I discovered a drink called Curiosity Cola (clearly meant for me) and took a couple of abstract shots.
