One day in Paris
The Eurostar. Ahh, the Eurostar. One tube stop from home, two hours on a train, and we were in the middle of Paris. I love the Eurostar. When Adam and Jenna came to visit several weeks ago (I'm way behind on posting...) we knew we had to do a side trip to Paris. In one night and one day we visited Notre Dame (twice!), the Pont des Arts, the Île de la Cité, the Louvre, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower, the Latin Quarter, AND took a boat tour. We also had at least five cafe stops, and plenty of crepes. Very solid.I took only one lens on this trip: my 50mm f/1.8. It's my cheapest lens - cost maybe $100 - but I love a 50mm, it's fairly fast, and it's really really light and small. I thought that might also give a nice vintagey look to these photos, which is nice in Paris. So, all of these were shot with that.Adam and Jenna were adorable on the Pont des Arts. It was very late and very dark but I like the look of this.Carmen Sandiego?Adam and Jenna looked great on the Ile de la Cite. Then Jenna played with the camera a bit - is it just me or does the second one look like a still from Lost?Don't they look like fashion models? This graffiti read: "I'm so sorry Claire, my heart is shattering like delicate porcelain in the hands of the evil Mao..."Hard to choose a favorite Eiffel Tower photo!
