Andalucia day 2: the mountains and the coast

Day 2 (Christmas day!), we got up early enough to have some more churros with chocolate and exchange gifts. :) Then we drove south from Granada to the coast, then drove west along the coast enjoying that amazing Mediterranean light all the way to La Linea. We were kind of wandering around on a back road when we saw a bridge. It quickly became clear that standing on that bridge, there was a view of another bridge... ...and lo and behold, a third bridge above us!When we hit the coast, we were pretty much thrilled. It was kinda warm, and we both love the sea.Finding a hotel in La Linea that night was an...shall we say...adventure? It was not a great introduction for Lefteris to my genius "we'll just find a place to stay when we get there!" strategy, which actually turned out to work extremely well (as it pretty much always has for me) throughout the rest of the trip. But find one we did, and that evening over Christmas dinner in the hotel restaurant, we decided on a plan for the next two days. The next day was a Sunday, and Boxing day--so while we were excited to see Gibraltar, maybe that should wait until the following day. So the plan for the next day became a day tour to Morocco, which the hotel set up for us. I'm not a big fan of tours, but then again, Morocco can be really intense, and a tour seemed the only realistic way to do this. I have always, always wanted to take the ferry from Gibraltar (or thereabouts) to Morocco. I guess it just seemed awesome. And it was! Coming soon...Earlier:Day 1 part 2: GranadaDay 1 part 1: AlhambraNext:Day 3: Algeciras port & ferry
