Andalucia day 1 part 2: Granada

After thoroughly wearing ourselves out at the Alhambra on Christmas Eve, we went for a walk around town and did a little street photography...I've been playing with this tight-aperture-equals-starburst-sun-at-shadow-edges trick. You'll see this again...There were people walking through the streets selling balloons. I didn't know it at the time, but balloons would become a recurring theme on this trip.I loved the storefronts. Color!Light and geometry again!Slower shutter speeds became a theme too, now that I think about it. (So now we have light, geometry, starbursts, ballons, and slow shutters...)GREAT graffiti.Actually there were all sorts of great things to look at around pretty much every corner. We found out the hard way (at 6:45) that everything closes at 7 on Christmas Eve so that people can go home for dinner with their families. That's great, but we hadn't sorted out any dinner yet. We quickly found two things. Number one, our first encounter with churros:And number two, a Christmas market that was still open and selling everything we needed for a picnic in our hotel - bread, cheese, sausage, and wine!Earlier: Day 1 part 1: AlhambraLater: Day 2: the mountains and the coast
