I have grapheme-color synesthesia. In my case, this means that I perceive numbers as having innate color properties. For example, 5 is an orange number, 6 is red, and 7 is blue. It also goes beyond just color…for example, put a 4 next to another number, and it’s like that other number has been put into a shallow puddle.

Sometimes I see (or think of) a number, and it gets stuck in my head like a melody. Those are the numbers I paint.
