Nidhi in the park

Nidhi is my very very VERY good friend and is one of my very favorite people. She’s also a rising star of an illustrator – incredibly talented, friendly, smart, funny, and driven. Did I mention talented? Take a look at her website to see what I’m talking about. While I was in SF for a couple of weeks, we spent an afternoon at the park and I took some portraits of her. It was late in the afternoon – post-burrito-time – so the sun was nice and low, making this lovely warm light… We walked off into the bushes to[…]

Nidhi’s Sketch of the Day: Wave

Here’s another great sketch from Nidhi, which happens to be based on one of my photos. It reminds me how much I’d looove to be in Hawaii right now! Me & Nidhi talking

A couple of evenings ago I had the pleasure of spending several hours with my very good friend Nidhi, who does the awesome sketches I post from time to time. But I love what Nidhi did with it! My image: …and her sketch! One of the many great things about this is that she pretty much made the shot I had in my mind. Hurray! Two art forms, two artists, working together…

A print of Nidhi’s

I just found this pink frame hiding under a pile of stuff in my studio, and thought this print of Nidhi’s illustration might work in there–and it does. Love it. Too bad I will now leave for London and not see it for three months. But still! To the left is a vintage-style baseball, sitting in a wooden hand, with a tiny hat on it. Kudos to Gabe for hat placement.
