An orchid
Tomorrow is what we're calling "Paperwork Day" - our legal marriage! We're not calling it the wedding because the wedding will be next summer in Greece with all of our friends and family. This is going to be very small - just four of our closest friends in London will be guests at the ceremony - but it is a major milestone anyway! Lefteris and I are both so excited to make our relationship official. :) Unfortunately we're also both super sick and just trying to get better for tomorrow...heading off to the GP in a few minutes. For Paperwork Day, I spent the weekend making a whole bunch of paper flowers. I'll feature those in an upcoming post or two, but for now, here's a flower I shot in Geneva. We stayed at the very nice (and surprisingly American-sized) Hotel Jade in Geneva. There were orchids in all of the rooms, on tables in front of the sheer-covered windows. I had a lot of fun playing with that one morning, but this was by far the most interesting shot.Shot with my 5D Mk II (as usual) and my 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. ISO 400, f/2.8, shutter at 1/125.
