My newest photo portfolio: all of my colleagues in London

Over the last couple of months, I've undertaken a photo project: shooting cinematic or fashion-forward portraits of each of my coworkers. I work at a digital agency in London, where we focus on analytics, web optimization, and search; it may not sound creative but it is surprisingly so. There are 18 of us, and everyone had their own concept, location, wardrobe (of course), etc. I wanted to create a unique portrait for each person - something that would highlight an aspect of their personality and/or life, and would frankly just make everyone look as cool as they are.I shot this all using natural light, one Speedlite with a Lastolite umbrella, and a white/gold/silver reflector. Naturally I used my Canon 5D Mark II, along with my kit of lenses: primarily a 16-35mm f/2.8L, 24-70mm f/2.8L, 100mm f/2.8, and 50mm f/1.8. All of the locations are in and around our office building. I did buy some props/makeup but most of the wardrobe is "model's own".When it was all complete, we rented out a pub and did a big reveal with a key print for everyone, and a slideshow of several selects for each person. Back at the office, we hung prints on the wall:This is my absolute favorite kind of photography. If I could shoot like this every day I would. An added bonus is that we shot a lot of these in pairs, so one person would hold lights for another's shoot and then we'd switch. That made for a lot of extra fun! Here are a couple of my favorites...though it's really impossible to choose.I'll be doing followup posts detailing how each shoot was set up, lit, directed, and shot. I hope you enjoy!
